PicklePairings

Terms of Use

Last updated: September 7, 2026

Short version: PicklePairings is a tool for running pickleball sessions. It runs on your device, there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay, and it is provided as is. Use it sensibly, and keep your own backup of anything you would hate to lose.

1. Who we are

PicklePairings ("we", "us") provides pickleball tournament software at picklepairings.com and through the PicklePairings app for iPhone and iPad. By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

2. What you get

Round robin, Americano, Swiss, knockout and double-elimination pairing, score entry, standings, printing, sharing and file export — all of it, with no account, no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads. We intend to keep it that way, and we will not take a feature that is available today and put it behind payment later.

3. Your data is on your device

Everything you type — player and team names, scores, standings — is stored only in your device's browser or app storage. We do not run a server that holds it, so we cannot recover it for you. If your device is lost, reset, or its storage is cleared, the tournament goes with it. Use Export to keep a backup file of anything that matters. Our Privacy Policy describes the one thing that does leave your device (anonymous usage analytics).

4. Other people's names

You are responsible for the names you enter and for anything you print, share or export. If you share pairings or standings into a group chat or tape them up by the courts, make sure the people in them are happy to be named there. Remove or shorten a name if someone asks you to.

5. Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, or resell it as your own. Otherwise, it is yours to use for any pickleball session, club night, ladder or tournament you like, commercial or not.

6. Rankings are not official

Standings are calculated from the scores you enter, using wins, point differential and points scored. They are for your session only. They are not DUPR, UTR-P, USA Pickleball or any other official rating, and should not be presented as one.

7. Availability

We work to keep the site running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue it. The app is deliberately built to keep working without us: once it has loaded, it runs offline, and your exported files are plain JSON you can keep.

8. Liability

PicklePairings is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including a lost tournament, a mis-scored match or a pairing you disagreed with. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or removes rights you have as a consumer under local law.

9. Apple

If you use the App Store version, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where it and these terms differ, these terms apply to the extent Apple's agreement allows. Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it; we are.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version is posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use PicklePairings after that means you accept the updated terms.
